What brings us to our knees? What causes you and me to cry out to God in desperation? Is it simply an unquenchable desire to draw close to the lover of our soul? Or does it take something tragic to awaken our hearts? The fact that we are even asking ourselves the question is a good sign.

What will it take to obtain both personal victories and breakthroughs for our city and nation? God so desires to satisfy the longing of our souls and the cry of our hearts. He has a destiny He intends us to fulfill individually and corporately.

September 11, 2001 the whole world was shocked by the pictures of commercial airlines crashing into the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York City. Soon after the initial impact, we were subjected to the gruesome sight of people jumping to their deaths from the top floors of the 110-story towers. But there were also heroes in this tragic story...

God wants to be a Father to the fatherless, to adopt them in these fatherless days. Many in this generation do not have a good relationship or understanding of a godly earthly father, making it very difficult to understand Daddy God. They go through struggles and confusion because they have no comprehension of God's love. “How could God possibly love me unconditionally, when I’ve never even experienced that kind of love and have no concept of what it means?” They must, like I did, come the revelation of the Spirit of Adoption.

God wants us to arise. The Lord wants to bring a sustainable awakening that is exponential and transcends every denomination and ethnic background. This move of God will bridge the generations. The anointing of the older generation will be poured out exponentially on the younger generation. They have great potential to pave the way for revival. While God is raising them up, satan is doing everything he can to distract them. Nonetheless, many of that generation have come forth and they are now full of zeal, and a passionate desire to do great things for the Lord. God’s purpose will prevail.

Christians from the four corners of the world have converged in Los Angeles this week to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Azusa Street Revival, led by William “Daddy” Seymour, in a movement called by Christian History magazine, “The most phenomenal event of twentieth-century Christianity.”
