Note: This 2020 article was adapted from a teaching by Doug Stringer from April, 2010 yet significantly important now We live in a time of shaking all over the world in both the natural and spiritual realms. But we, as people of God, do not need to fear. In the midst of the shakings, God […]
I’m not beholden to the Donkey Party or the Elephant Party. I do choose to express and stand for my biblical convictions as a follower of the government of the Lamb and the Lion. I also understand the importance of elections, especially in the spiritual and political climate we find ourselves in today. So, I […]
“I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his descendants begging bread. He is ever merciful, and lends; And his descendants are blessed. Depart from evil, and do good; And dwell forevermore.” Psalm 37:25–27 (NKJV) I recently made a statement at a men’s breakfast that has […]
A WORD TO THE CHARISMATIC AND PENTECOSTAL FAMILY I say this as someone who loves the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit: We do not need less Holy Spirit Power. We need more of His Holiness. We do not need to abandon the gifts. We need to steward the gifts. We do not need to […]
“For whom the LORD loves He chastens, and scourges every son whom He receives.” Hebrews 12:6 I have been thinking about the life of Peter and something that I believe speaks powerfully to the Church, and particularly to leaders in our generation. Earthquakes. Hurricanes. Typhoons and cyclones. Droughts. And other disasters that can devastate communities in moments, leaving families suddenly without homes, livelihoods, […]
“For on that day the priest shall make atonement for you, to cleanse you, that you may be clean from all your sins before the LORD.” Leviticus 16:30 Yom Kippur 5787 begins at sundown Sunday, September 20, 2026, and concludes at nightfall Monday, September 21. In Jewish tradition, it is the holiest and most solemn […]
REMEMBER. RETURN. REPAIR. PREPARE. There are certain dates that become more than dates on a calendar. They become markers in our memories and milestones in our lives. September 11 is one of those dates. Twenty-five years ago, on September 11, 2001, our nation and, in many ways, the entire world was suddenly, tragically and forever […]
In Part One, “PREPARING THE WAY FOR THE KING” we looked at the intriguing connection between Elijah, John the Baptist, and preparing the way of the Lord. The angel said concerning John: “And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children…and […]
